Become a Medical Student Advisor for MMS
The MMS Medical Student Advisor position is intended to be a long term continuous commitment for medical students interested in community health and preventative medicine. As medical students progress through each academic year, they retain their advisory position along with the roles and responsibilities of the position that are adapted to the context of their current medical curriculum.
- Interested medical students should be highly passionate about preventative medicine, education, and community health
- Previous experience in MMS as an undergraduate is highly recommended as an intimate knowledge of the structure of MMS is necessary for success in the role but is not required
- Previous MMS executive board members and former MMS project leaders are recommended and highly desirable

MS3/MS4 Advisors
Responsibilities include: Giving information about upcoming opportunities to participate in MMS general meetings and community events, evaluating and providing constructive feedback on MMS educational materials, including presentations, brochures, educational pamphlets, etc.

MS1/MS2 Advisors
Responsibilities include: Giving information about upcoming opportunities to participate in MMS general meetings and community events, organizing and developing one general meeting per quarter, and maintaining presence in undergraduate executive board through interviewing, mentorship, etc.

Medical Spanish Advisors
Responsibilities include: Advising MMS Spanish undergraduate translators and translating MMS educational materials, including presentations, brochures, educational pamphlets, etc.
